The TeraCrystal management team has translated a strong technical background into a business venture, combining scientific proficiency with business-like agility and flexibility.
TeraCrystal was founded in 2013 by two former Avantium N.V employees with over 50 years R&D experience, accumulated from both the academic and the industrial environments. Two years later, Leif Hilden, former Vice President for Process Research & Development at Orion Corporation-Fermion joined the company as
shareholder and President of the Board.
The three owners managed TeraCrystal together till June 2020, when Coca Iordache and Mihaela Pop took over the full control of the company.
Coca Iordache – Chief Executive Officer and Project Manager
PhD in Chemical Engineering. Her career highlights include over 30 years of R&D experience in North America and Europe, with positions ranging from Scientist to Chief Executive Officer. Expertise covers process design and development, with a special focus on scale-up and technology transfer.
Mihaela Pop – Chief Scientific Officer and Project Manager
PhD in Physics/Crystallography. Over 20 years of experience in solid state investigations and forms selection, with special focus in crystal engineering, structure determination and modelling. She has a proven track record of research and innovation contributions in crystallography and solid forms characterization.
